I know everyone loves a great Revive, I sure do! But here at R Furniture Project sometimes we like to pass the project on to someone else. When the garage gets to crowded or we can't decide on a direction for a piece we Resell it. That was the plan with this Lane Cedar Chest.
It was such a great piece and we could see the potential. However, it was listed for about a month with no interest. So when inspiration hit we pulled the ad and took it to the garage for a Revive. It turned out great!
Or so we thought. We re-listed it on Craigslist and another month with no interest. So we put it to use at the foot of our bed holding shoes. It was serving a purpose so we were not to rushed to sell it
until.........
John brought home this Cedar Chest. We listed it and after about a week I get a call asking about the Cedar Chest on Craiglist. I arrange a time for the buyer to come take a look. At this point I had forgot about the grey chest and assumed she was here for the newly listed chest. When she walked in the door and didn't go directly to the chest it hit me! She's here for the grey chest, Wahoo! I show her the grey chest, she gives me the money and we finally load up the grey chest to go to its new home. With one chest gone it seems we have run into the same problem with the newly acquired chest as it sits, with no interest, for a month on Craigslist. So we wonder, do we patiently wait for the Resell or is it time to pull this one for a Revive?
We know this one will not be grey, I promise we do use other colors. John is thinking Fire Engine Red or Blue to be used in a kids room. What do you think? I would love to hear your feed back.
It is a well executed post. I like the diagram most. It is a helpful informative post. Thanks for sharing this great information.
